Simple question. And I really liked the Melee scoring system with all the crazy things you could do for more score. It was removed in Brawl and I was a little sad. Did you like it and do you think this scoring system would make SSB4 better or worse?

You mean scores like in Melee and don't forget, 64 like getting 500 points for taunting at the end of the game?
In Single Player: Love it
In Multiplayer: Don't care

Yeah, but it wouldn't need to be DLC. Just add it as part of a bigger patch.

Someone claimed that feature is there and then it turns out it was a lie... I would love to see it there!

Those were like my favorite things in the single-player modes back in Melee. I loved getting Switzerland and the other crazy things you can get by doing a certain something.
I was really hoping that it would be brought back in Smash 4, but it isn't unfortunately so I would definitely love the feature to return

Sure, but not as DLC alone. I'm not paying for that single feature. I loved that feature, but not that much.

I guess it could be free in a patch. It does feel like something that everyone would need to have (ie all or none), not just some who buy the DLC.

Make it free optional DLC. It does affect your score, so some might not want it. Only thing besides making it free as is is that we don't have to get them all for a Trophy. Milestone, sure, since it should be added with the same download.

Getting them all for a trophy would be something cool for the completionists to strive to achieve.

It wasn't worth it in Melee either. Some of the bonuses were poorly designed. They're fun to collect, but are ridiculous. There's enough competionist tasks in 4 without it anyway.

It's no different to the CDs in Brawl. You farmed some of the bonuses in Melee. And you farmed the CDs in Brawl's stage maker (CD factory stage). Neither all of the the CDs or (harder to get) bonuses were easily achievable without farming them in set up matches.

CD's were far easier to collect than No Damage Run. You can't "farm" that bonus.

Bonuses are fine and fun. But only if they remove tedious or stupidly hard ones if they want to add a "bonus" for completing them all.

You make a good point. But there will probably be stupidly hard trophies to earn. Brawl had the "win the boss battles thing on the hardest difficulty." I could get to the last boss on that (sometimes) and it'd always one shot me dead. So I just a golden hammer on it. The only hammer I used if I remember correctly. I am sure SSB4 WiiU will have some stupidly hard trophies to earn as well.

And no damage run you just farm the attempts on the easiest difficulty and hope you get lucky on one run. That's what I did. Roy got it for me.
But I agree stuff like no damage run is pretty bull****. That should have been a milestone and not a bonus I think.

Agreed on the milestone bit. And even I could do Boss Battles Intense. That's still a bit easier since luck doesn't screw you over. Oh, did you know that you can't Hammer Intense Boss Battles in the JP and US versions of Brawl? Yeah. You're even luckier than we are. None the less, I do agree it's ridiculous.

They need to drop the damage bonus and have only time bonuses and special bonuses for certain achievements during a match.

In every game, the best way to get a high score was to cause as much damage as possible without KOing the opposition.

I really miss Bonus Mode. It was the one mode I could convince friends to play occasionally so that I HAD to out-style them instead of just beating them.
