Luscious to the ear,
or painful when its heard.
Relaxing at the tone of sound,
or hateful and absurd.
Wings of flight through worlds unknown,
with the power of that unheard.
Wisdom of an intellect,
or babbling of a fool.
A passage into imagery,
Or plain and simple rule.
It can ignite a common truth,
or carry deceit to simple youth.
Some cut like a two-edged sword,
and pierce like a sharpened spear.
They may just be lying dull,
and no one wants to hear.
So strong some break the curtains dark,
or bring them down another mark...
Choose carefully, words have power see?
And how they're used, that's up to thee.
