Wouldn't it be awesome if, starting on January 1st and going up until the 24th (the Japanese release date, if I recall correctly), Sakurai added a new character every day? That would be 18 more characters leading up to the release of the game. This assumes that there will be that many characters in the game, but I don't think that's so unreasonable an assumption.

I can't think of a better way to build up the hype myself, personally.

That would be pretty sweet. Personally, I've lost all hope for any more characters before the release. Also you should check your math again. There will be 17 updates not counting the 24th.

Fixed. I'm including the 24th. I accidentally counted one week twice, but you'd think that I would have realized that there weren't 23 weekdays between the 1st and the 24th.
