Windows Movie Maker help

I've recently been trying to make a video using Windows Movie Maker. The problem that i encounter is that the video seems to "lag" when i play the conjoined clips. Any explanation for this would be greatly appreciated.

edit: could it possibly be my computer?

when you click capture video from device go to configure - video settings then change the frame rate from 59.940 to 29.970. dont record in clips either.
