windows 7 problems

ssb used to work fine on my old computor. since i've got windows 7 it just dosnt work. i've tried the specialised windows 7 version and i can get online and stuff its just whenever i try to start a game/join a game or just open the rom when im out of online mode it says 'failed to open file'
can anyone please help me?

I've never owned anything past XP, but try running as admin. If that works, then your roms are in some sort of protected directory or something. *shrug* Someone else can probably help you more than I can.

Hmmm, that's weird, it runs fine on my Windows 7....

i would recommend downloading the version in the european index thread, it is the one i have uploaded.
it works for me on win7 and never gave me problems.
if it does not work, it means the problem is with your pc or rom.

this is how i got mine to work
download project 64k vista edition, make sure you set the directories but the rom file must not be in the same directory as the project64k exe file. also i experienced heaps of desynch and lag (in p2p it ds'd every 2 mins) until i started using ownasauras' custom kaillera client

Try different plugins and different kaillera versions. And most importantly: update the rdb file

open the game once through the file then refresh your rom list -facepalm-

Jabo7 does not work on vista or windows 7.
