*Windows 7 = Lag?*

Long story short, before I upgraded to Vista I rarely EVER lagged and when I did, I could explain it. Now that I've upgraded to Windows 7, I've been lagging more consistently than ever before, but there's NO REASON I should be.

No programs open.
Nothing running to cause lag (updates, etc.)


I remember in order to run PJ64K on Vista, you needed to change a graphics file or some **** in the plugins folder?... Is there something similar to that for Windows 7? Anyone have any ideas? I mean technically, I shouldn't be lagging at all right? Windows 7 is the superior OS...

I have noticed no difference in performance/how often it lags out between Vista and 7.

The only problem I've had with 7 so far is this ****ing sound crackling problem, which seems to be affecting a ton of people, and NOBODY KNOWS WHAT'S CAUSING IT OR HOW TO FIX IT ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

EDIT: BTW I'm the master at lagging out on the server. I very consistently lag out once every 20 minutes of play. I don't have that problem with P2Ping.

****... I don't have any sound crackling problems... I'd MUCH rather have that than this annoying lag lol. It's weird because I don't lag all the time... It's more like a crapshoot, I don't lag, then I have most lagstat later in the day.
