Now that release dates for Smash 4 for Wii U have been officially announced for only a month and a half from now I wonder...Will you be dropping the 3DS version when the Wii U one finally appears?

I don't think I'll drop it. I installed it directly onto my 3DS and that s***'s expensive.

Joking aside, it depends on the WiiU's exclusive features but I'll definitely get both.

Yes.

Because I only have a Wii U. Even if I owned a 3DS I'd still drop it like it's hot, because HD Smash and GC controller/Pro controller.

I'll still play both, being that as of next week I'm likely to have an hour and 15 minutes commute every day on the subway but yeah - it'll be hard to mostly pick up the 3DS version after the Wii U version comes out.

Wii U will take over, but smash on the go is too good to pass on. I will definitely keep playing both.

Since I can't play properly while walking around, Wii U one will take over my time.

I don't have a 3ds but im considering but

The wii u version is clearly going to have a ton more atvantages over the 3ds version

Several more modes for one (probably adventure mode, break the targets and possible the other bonus's since 64,event match, and the rumored tower of smash if real.)

The rumors spreading of 4/5 more characters for the wii u version and have to be transfered to the 3ds version (or patch release for 3ds with them in it or dlc)

Two month wait for most of the world. And the people with the 2 month wait will probably keep playing their 3DS version till the WiiU version is released for all. That's what I'd do if I owned a 3DS.

Nah. My boyfriend is only getting the 3DS version, so in order to play with him I won't just drop it. But I'll definitely play the Wii U version a lot more than 3DS.

I wont touch the 3DS version unless I'm traveling and that's not really happening often. Why would I? You'd be stupid to if you had the choice.

I am still going to play my 3DS before bed and whatnot; however, in an essence, that might be the case. I will probably drop the 3DS for the Wii U. For instance, if someone is all busting up on my homies like, "yo, wanna play Smash, breh?"

I am going to assert, "sure, lets go to my crib and play on the Wii U, crank that soldier boy, Wii U, crank that soldier boy, Wii U!"

He is going to be like, "wat *****? Why don't we jus play on our 3DS' that we conveniently have on hand, you know what I'm super saiyan?"

I am going to question him with a perturbed expression, "you a basic *****? Too ***** to play on a real console because you are gonna getz #rekt fo real? Here, afta November 21, we ball harder than me tryin to park a Dodge when I'm drunk as ****"

Tl;dr: Yes, yes indeed. :4jigglypuff:

Absolutely not. I'm loving the game so far, and the exclusive modes are really cool. I'm getting used to some of them, but it's fun~

I may play the Wii U version more, but only if it has really good exclusive modes/stages.

Nope, I will most likely play both versions of the game. I will probably play the Wii U version a tad more if the online is better (the 3DS online works mostly fine to me, but there is room for improvement) and if the Off-Tv Play feature works well. I don't see reasons to drop Smash 3DS. The idea is just silly.

I'll be playing WiiU more for sure. Since I'm home a lot... And most of my friends have WiiU's and are getting the game to so I'll even play at there houses. But if I just wanna relax in bed at night or play when I'm out, Smash3DS will always be in my heart lol.

I will use the 3DS version to practice stuff I wanna do on the Wii U version when I am out. It is completely complimentary to the console experience and I am OK with that.

I'm actually contemplating on holding off from getting the 3DS version, saving up and just getting a Wii U and Smash with it when the time comes. ¦D

Depends. The guys at my college with the CRT as still playing PM rather than SSB3DS. If they keep that up rather than going to 4 I'll still be definitely playing on the 3ds. But at home definitely Wii U.

I'll essentially stop playing the 3DS version once I finish with the challenges. But I'll probably use it as a portable version, since I'm traveling back and forth from my parents a lot these days. If I'm at home, though, I'll probably never use it.

No. I don't have a Wii U yet. Even if I do, I won't. I'm more of a portable guy. But if Nintendo doesn't release a Wii U themed smash or some sort that is bundled with the console and game, I'll probably skip on the Wii U version.

I will still play the 3DS version every now and then but 95% of my time will be spent on the Wii U version. I just don't really like the 3DS controls... it's fine for a portable Smash but once the Wii U version comes out I am switching to that one.

I'll probably still play the 3DS version at school or when i'm out with friends but my focus is primarily going to shift to the wii u version. I just don't like the circle pad, it's just a bit too inaccurate. Plus the lack of c-stick bothers me. Some people have been able to adapt I guess im just not one of those people.

I'll probably alternate between the two, especially if I'm able to transfer my 3DS customizations onto the Wii U version.

Not entirely, I have some friends who have the 3DS version but no Wii U so it'd be the only way I'd still be able to play with them. That aside, I can't see myself using the 3DS version much unless I'm just lazing around somewhere other than my room or I'm outside waiting for something.

Yes, pretty much already have. I put in about 12 hours and unlocked every character and stage in Smash 3DS (Flat Zone 2 is the hardest because you have to have completed the entire first challenge board) but I just don't like handhelds much.

I'm kinda this way. I do like handhelds though... But in the end the 3ds one probably won't hold my interest too long. It's good but...

This smash pass my expectations for a handle game. Once the WiiU version is out I'm moving on to that one. The only reason I see myself playing the 3ds version because a bunch of really good players I like to play aganst is only staying with the 3ds version.

When I'm not home? 3DS. When I am? Wii U. Simple as that. Why on Earth would you stop playing one?
