Will the updates and speculations be missed?

The brawl room's are going to change from "What if..." threads to "New ___ Discovered" and such threads. All the speculation will be over. With the release date in japan we are going to know everything we really wanted to know: What characters are in, what stages are in, the whole story to the subspace emissary and more.

But... will you miss the time we have here at SWF from the time we heard of brawl til the release? Group's that support characters will be gone such as "The ♥♪!? Alliance". There will be no more support character threads nor no updates to look forward to.

The thing I'm going to miss the most will be all the research the forums have done... It's like we worked as a team to have some of the info we have gotten. Info like Krystal's voice actor spoiling Krystals appearance in SSBB, e 4 all (Gimpy, thanks a ton), and Japanese translations such as corocoro magazine (SamuraiPanda gets thanks also).

Will you miss this time as it comes closer to the end?

I just realized... The prophets are going to continue on the 24th. They'll say crap like "Bowser, Jr. is in!" just to mess with us, since we'll all believe anything we see.
Bowser Jr will most likely be in lol.

On Topic: There will be alot of stuff to miss, but atleast i'll be happy the mog thread will finally get a dose of reality.

Yeah, I do know we will get a few of those. But someone out there will leak us with everything w/ pictures and videos.

Hell no, I won't miss it. "[Character] for Brawl" era was the worst, man. People made some of the stupidest ideas, and people spammed the boards with their "prophecies."

Overspeculation was horrible...

Misinterpertation was common...

Saying a character WASN'T in because of stupid reasons... woo, that got me!

Just a lot of stuff made me wonder what was up with these boards. I'm glad it's gonna be over in 17 days.

I'm not going to believe anything any new member of the boards spreads unless he has said before the date of the game's release that he was going to help with finding info about it.

I suggest you do the same? :)

The only thing I REALLY want to know about this game is:
Captain Falcon Confirmed?
Ness Confirmed?
Yoshi's Story from Melee Confirmed?

Yeah it was definitely interesting, for at least the short time I was here, to see different kinds of logic, based on "insider information". Some of the stuff definitely gave me a good chuckle.

In b4 the lock!

Thread number 13712 about the japan release.

It's over 9000!
Did you even read the first post or do you just go around using old memes?

Here's one for ya

"In b4 infraction"

8. Very Important If a topic is spam, DO NOT reply to it. The Moderators for the room will take care of it. Even if it isn't spam, just a topic that doesn't need to be there, don't post anything like "closes" in it. Also, DO NOT correct someone and tell them the rules. If we catch you doing this, you'll be in big trouble. This is probably our most-broken rule on the boards, and oftentimes people correct a "Spammer" while breaking a rule at the same time. Examples of things not to post:

a. You're stupid!
b. Get outta here, spammer!
c. This is in the wrong room!
d. This is going to get closed.
e. You're in trouble!
f. Can't you read the rules?

g. *tries to close, fails*
h. *closes*

If the thread gets closed, it gets closed. But until(?) then... don't spam

On Topic: Will anyone miss the prophets, I always got a good laugh at people claiming things like jajamaru would be in brawl, etc.

Some people think the... uh... "un-intelligent" posts were bad but I just found them hilarious. Those will be missed xD

I enjoyed waiting for Brawl immensely. I became active in the forums again, something I hadn't done since waiting for Melee, made tons of new friends, and became somewhat active in the tournament community.

Also, it was great to see people like Youko and 2nd Stamp step up to give us entertaining shows during the wait. I respect people who take initiative and bear the talent to do things like that immensely.

I personally hope that once Brawl comes out I will remain active in the community unlike I did with Melee. I feel like I missed a train that I would have immensely enjoyed had I been on it. I don't want to be left at the station this time. I want to be there when tournaments start, and I want to go to them. And I also want to be there when the metagame starts forming.

I can honestly say that I doubt my Smashboards experience will end with it's release. It may be the end of an era, but it will be the beginning of a new one as well.

(typing this on Wii) I'll really miss speculating but since there's gonna be a ton of Nintendo history to be found and online capabilities then the board will be alive for a long time. There's lots to discover and we don't even have the game yet.

I don't think they'll be missed. As soon as this game gets out, the boards are gonna be flooded with FC topics and "Battle Me" threads, and people won't even care anymore. It's the game that counts, not the hype.

Yeah, I'll miss getting up every morning, anticipating what news Sakurai has brought to the community. I'll also miss the character alliances. Though I don't the alliances will be going away. If we Mega Man-ites don't get our hero, we (I hope) can sit back, shake our fists slightly, and say in stereotypical villain fashion: "We'll get him next time!" I think a lot of the alliances will be like that as well. So, when (yes, WHEN) the next Smash game is announced, we have that to look forward to.

So, really, this is but a temporary thing, one day, it'll all start over again. Ouu, thats a scary thought.

No.

While I admit that speculating on some matters was fun, most of us took it wayyy too far. Another thing I'm glad will be gone ar the [stupid] character debates (Ridley's too big! Olimars not a fighter! I don't like that character, they won't be in! etc.)

Yah, saying Olimar's not a fighter is like saying Sakurai announcing Pokemon trainer was an accident. Seriously though, do you think that Olimar = Pkmn trainer in fighting style? Seems pretty logical to me.

I'm going to miss it. I still cherish the times back at sa Mario Kart forum when Double Dash was coming out and a Star Fox forum when Command was coming out. It was so much fun and it's been just as fun here at SWF and before on Nsider for Brawl.

Good Times :D I'll probably go back to Arwinglanding once Star Fox Wii is announced so it'll be back to speculating for me!

I will kind of miss the forums, because, you know, I had a pretty good time here. I doubt this forum will have less people... People will be pouring in asking "H0w duz i gets (Insert badly spelled noun here)" so I think there will be a new age, the Q&As age.

Good topic *bump*

Yeah I will miss it actually. But hey; we'll hopefully be doing it again in a few years time if there's to be a SSB4. And if not I think the final smash deserved such hype.
