Will the c-stick momentum glitch be fixed in a future patch?

I doubt it. As annoying as it is, it's not a glitch, it just works different from previous games.

It's not a glitch. I for one havent been affected by it at all. It only affects people who don't know how to flick.

Have you tried setting the c-stick to "attack" instead of "smash"? ^-^

Seeing as it isn't a glitch, but a change in how the C-stick works (since now it can charge a smash, whereas before it didn't), I highly doubt it will be fixed.

Though, if they'd just make it check your aerial status before determining whether a hold does anything or not, it would accomplish both its old purpose and its new simplicity, which would be nice.

But until something like that happens, just try to get used to flicking it quickly. It's still capable of the old functionality. Amusing, though, that they made it harder to use the aerial functionality while making it easier to use the grounded function.
