i dont have the time to go out in line and wait for hours for it to be released so i wanted to know if you could get it from the nintendo eshop or other online retailers.

Yes. You can't get the demo without going through the product page for the full thing in the eshop.

Yes it is available for digital download. You should be able to see it on the Eshop.

They announced it will be 2.4 GB I believe.

Of course, but if its anything like Pokemon XY... expect the EShop to crash a few times. One thing that helps is that Pokemon XY was worldwide and this isn't. That means less traffic for the EShop to handle.

thought that was just the demo? if it's the full game than its probably faster than going to a store lol.
2.1 GB, but the actual download is 1.2 GB. There are 900ish MB missing from the game, which people are theorizing to be DLC stuff to be released later.

And I really feel for you having to wait, maybe, I don't know, 15 MINUTES for the game, in-store! If you're honestly that impatient, and you "need your momma to help you", you need help, FAST.

, was that outburst really necessary?Eitherway, yes, you can simply download the game if you do not wish to get it physically. What might work to avoid any potential disconnections due to traffic is that you could probably download the game with the sleep mode option on. That way, (After getting back to the system menu) all you need to do is close the lid on your 3DS and wait for the game to download then without needing to worry of any potential disconnects from the eShop.
