I hear a lot of talk about Project M not being streamed at APEX, or being featured at all. I know its a hack and thus Nintendo already doesn't like it, but why didn't they do anything about PM at APEX 2014? Is it because the PM community is getting pretty big and popular, that they're afraid of Smash 4 not being successful (because if that's the case they can make Smash 4 not suck).

The PMDT is not selling SD cards that have PM so I can't really see whats the big hullabaloo about.

The big question for me is if PM will ever have a chance of being featured at EVO as a main game considering the 2013 debacle. As for Apex, it's been featured for the past 3 years and I don't think it needs to compete with Sm4sh for a spot, but I'm not a TO...

Nintendo is by far more justified in going after P:M (if they were to try) than they were trying to shut down melee at evo. P:M will always be grassroots, and that is not at all a bad thing.

You're kidding right? P:M will never be at EVO. What debacle are you even talking about?

It will never be at something like EVO. Just looking at what PM is, should tell you why it wouldn't be.

Apex should run whatever games are most popular. Brawl may be demoted to singles only with an entry cap, but Smash 4 will be only a month new and everyone will want to enter the first major tournament for it.

For PM, I could see doubles being sidelined, but probably not. They have enough room for Tekken and Injustice so if push comes to shove I'd see them going first.

We don't want PM to be a main event at EVO. Nintendo already pretends and acts like they don't know about PM, but there's no way that they don't. If the game gets put in such a huge spotlight then Nintendo might feel more inclined to do something about PM's existence. I'd rather the game still exist and get updated then have it at a big tournament.

PM will never be at EVO. Wizard already confirmed this.

Also alot of people believe Nintendo will shut down PM shortly after Smash 4 Wii u release. I honestly don't see why they would. I mean if they were gonna shut PM down they should of did it already,

I don't even know why people keep assuming nintendo hates pm. The other day i called nintendo support and the dude on the phone helped me set up project m on my wii u. It was great.

And i also have been hearing PM might not be at Apex. That would be crazy

I, for one, am happy that Project M won't be once again locked into a stage list of forty-nine that never gets changed after being used at one event.

Thanks for a boring year of getting people so hooked on having a massive amount of stages that nobody was willing to even discuss changes until BH4, APEX 2013 ruleset.

I just want to share this story from Cobalt.

He's absolutely correct. If we don't act out positively, things will come crashing down. Not just PM, but the entire community. Remember 10 years ago when you could sit down with your friends and say "I like Smash Bros!" and it didn't matter whether it was 64 or Melee? Now we have to specify which game you prefer and attack everyone with a different opinion. There is so much hostility that doesn't need to be there. All sides are guilty of this and it will end this community. It will turn Smash into the next Mario Party.

Not that Mario Party is bad, but it doesn't have a community attached to it. People just play the newest one for a few weeks when it comes out then occasionally at parties. That's it.

I know this dives deeper than Apex, but I really wanted to spread this on and didn't feel like it warranted a new thread.
