Will Pit ever fight again?

I was going through all my trophies in SSBM and I came across my Pit trophy. The last line in the description is, "I wonder if he will ever fight again?"

Do you think this was a foreshadowing of Pit's entrance into brawl, or is it just a coincidence?

Meh, this might even spark a new Kid Icarus game for the Wii, or something, since Pit's gonna be in Brawl, there's bound to be SOMETHING else coming out that features him. An exception might be that he might be a Mr. Game and Watch type of character, Old School.

Well, I'm glad they waited... The new and improved Pit in Brawl looks a hell of a lot better then the trophy version in Melee.

Doubtful. No new Ice Climbers game to my knowledge.

As I recall, Sakurai wanted to put Pit in as early as the original Smash, but he lost to Jigglypuff in the 64 version and then to Balloon Fighter (who lost to the Ice Climbers) in Melee. Both times, Pit was on the cusp of playability.

Also, in an interview with Miyamoto about MGS: Twin Snakes, he was asked what game he would most like to remake and he said "Kid Icarus"
I noticed the Trophy thing when I first earned it in Melee, and then after I read that interview I thought about what it had said, so I wasn't surprised at all when Pit was announced for Melee.
I didn't realize that most people hadn't caught on to that one.

Yeah but the iceclimbers as characters were never popular (they were only cool game expriences to say the least, Kid Icarus is so much more epic than Ice climbers could ever be and has what it takes to make a sequel).

I however don't care if they made another Kid Icarus game. He really never captured my heart. He just looks cool.

This is beyond old.
Its because Pit was intended to be in SSB and SSBM but always got cut from the roster for some reason or another.
Again, very very old.

Yeah, this has been said before, but newbs are joining the forum every day, and these posts do get lost to the sands of time. Something worth reiterating, definately.

Also, a new Kid Icarus game is very likely to be in the pipeline. Nintendo will be pre-empting the popularity Pit will gain after Brawl's release. They are a business, after all. I reckon we can expect to hear news of it at E3 2008.

Interesting find.

Maybe it WAS hinting at Pit being in the next Smash considering he was beat out in the previous two.

Maybe they were hinting at a Kid Icarus gamecube game? Or maybe...6 years into the future when they made a next-gen console?
