the is a question that i just now thought of because well if lag problems are happening at like 5 us state across then what will it be for across the world and for the fact that one is ssbx and the other is ssbb dont forget about the PAL version either so will it be possible, is it possible, or unconfirmed?

I doubt you will be able to play other versions of the game. The main reason for this is that they don't expect it to work well across oceans and oceans pretty much divide up the different regions.

Even if you did, it would probably be REALLY laggy.

I know that other Nintendo games often have an option that lets you play either by region or worldwide.

As for Smash... I don't know. Does anyone with the game know if this option exists?

If not, I guess we'll find out when the NA version ships, if it excepts JPN FCs.

I'd think NA players could play EU players... there are loads of people who live in NA I'd like to play :-/

I don't think the lag would be TOO bad though.

I wonder if anyone stuck in Hawaii will be able to play anyone outside of the state lol, we're in the middle of nowhere, would suck if it's too far from Japan or the mainland US and we can only play people in state.

It says you can on the Dojo, it'll just lag a lot, plus a lot of people in Japan are gonna be pros before we get the game, trust me, you'll just get destroyed. :/

Lag is dependent more on connection speed than distance, please everyone, stop talking like lag has to exist JUST BECAUSE of the distance. I've played plenty of wifi games against Japanese players, and had plenty that had less lag than against other NA players.

Connection > Distance affects lag.

Yep US and EU can play, if you've got decent internet connections it should be fine but *** and EU, :/ that could be nasty.

think of it like the Kalliera Servers....Lag can screw you up if you live far away....but if your computer/connection is good enough, it won't matter as much
