Smash 3DS Will buying the 3DS version ruin my hype for the Wii U version?

I'm really stuck right now. On the one hand, I've played the demo for the 3ds version, and it's awesome! I really want to pick up the 3ds version. However, I've been telling myself over the past year that I will wait for the Wii U version to release so that I can play the game in it's full glory with my friends for the first time. I just want to know if by playing the 3ds version, will the hype I have for the Wii U version fade away? Like Smash fatigue I suppose? Sorry, first world problems I know . Thanks guys!

Just get the 3DS version and you'll love it and you'll be more hyped than ever for the Wii U version. Trust me.

There is stil unkown and new elements to make you hype if you get it on WiiU. It is worth getting both. New Stages to play and unknown wiiu mode and better controls.

It won't necessarily kill your hype but because you already have it you won't be dying waiting. Besides, the best part of playing with friends is the friends.

It won't feel as sensational, that's for sure. The demo has already taken part of that away with the new gameplay mechanics though, so it's up to you if the rest of the content is worth waiting that long for.

Be happy that you CAN buy it already! I only have a Wii U and not a 3ds, I would love to get the 3ds version but I have to wait for 2 more months
(Btw I'm not spending €200+ for 2 months of handheld smash )

Plus side to 3ds is that its Portable, hopefully the Wii U will have more content cause it really needs the attention right now. We really dont know anything about that version other than the stages.

Personally, the 3DS version will only hype me up for the Wii U version even more.

If you think you can be patient, I'd hold out until the Wii U version releases.
