wii u gamecube adapter

hello, I've been playing smash 4 for a while but i'm looking to get more into the competitive scene and so i need an adapter for my wii u, as up until now i've been playing with the gamepad. the problem is that on amazon the price of an adapter is listed as $49cdn, and i'd rather not drop 50 bucks on it. does anyone know any other sources to get an adapter/a reliable knock off or third party? NOTE: I have gamecube controllers already, so no bundles or anything. thanks.

The Mayflash adapter is an affordable alternative. I purchased one on Amazon for almost $16. Y'all should still be able to get that brand at that particular price.
