Okay, I know this is kind of a grey area as far as Smashboards rules go, but Nintendo's refurb Wii U Deluxe Bundles have gone on sale for $200. I heard a lot of people say they wouldn't want a Wii U unless it was around $200, so... yeah. Grab it and be ready for Smash.

There was no way I was gonna pick mine up at launch. Almost NOTHING to play and that price yo.

The cheap Wind Waker bundle around Pikmin 3's release was great. Still not a stellar library but I'd be a darned liar if I said it hasn't entertained me and my friends.

You can still get it cheaper on ebay. It's possible to get an 8gb for around 100-150, but this is an alright deal. However, I'm currently not at liberty to spend money on anything video game related, so it can wait.

edit: I changed my mind, so long as this is a wii u price scouting thread it can stay here, someone else might decide to move it to the Nintenzone though.

(btw this isn't advertising since it's related to the topic at hand imo)

I'm waiting until we get a release date for smash. It's primarily the only reason why I'm getting a Wii U.

$250 out-of-stock Deluxe sets w/ a free game? Wow, if only Nintendo would drop it down to this cheap of a price, perhaps the Wii U would be moving off the shelves at a faster rate. And I'm as much of a loyalist to endure the launch buy! It is also sweet that you can buy this directly from Nintendo.

Buying an 8 GB would make you definitely have to invest in a HDD almost immediately which is way more expensive so I wouldn't recommend that. Plus you don't get the Deluxe Digital Promotion.

Well I had planned on getting an external hard drive for my movies and music so I guess partitioning the drive for my Wii U games and Wii emulators wouldn't be that big of a deal, but yeah, they are kind of expensive, but I don't see myself buying many games for the Wii U besides Smash, Zelda and Mario Kart.

Lol what is that guy saying ?

You have to have a dedicated HDD. Once the Wii U formats it, you can't use it with anything else.

Well that sucks. Good thing flash drives are pretty cheap then (assuming it takes them). I can get a 16 gb from best buy for 5 bucks a piece.
It does. You just have to remember... you're playing games off of these, not storing Word documents. You need a fast one. $5 won't cut it.

He regrets buying it at a high price when he could have gotten it at a lower price.

Not buying it in general.
I personally don't regret it in the slightest. Sure, I could have gotten it lower priced and with an awesome Zelda design, but in this case, it was the journey that made it worthwhile and the console itself, not the price.

They are made by Toshiba. I've been using them for my Xbox 360 for years and they have been just fine. I run most of Wii games and GC emulators off of basic flash drives I just found around the house.

Sorry, but there is no way of convincing me that I should spend money on a 32 GB drive when I can spend 10 bucks to get the same amount of memory (If I even use that much). When Nintendo makes a 150 GB system we'll talk lol
