Wii System Update Problem/Question...

ok I got my Wii on the day of release...and I finally configured all the internet stufferz this morning....and I did a system update so I can frikin play Mario Galaxy...............just one question, is it normal for it to be updating with no progress whatsoever since 9:30ish this morning?
