System Menu 4.1 is for the Japanese Wiis only. It's not too different from 4.0, based on what Wiibrew.org has displayed.

no it just came out in the US and I have a US wii, it's out now, go see for yourself.

If it's out for the US, shouldn't you receive a message relating to the new System Menu update?
Also, this isn't the right place to be talking about Homebrew. Go to a web site like GBAtemp.net if you want to talk about hacking your Wii.

Wait a sec, apparently, BannerBomb still works and stuff and it exist mainly to fix bugs present in 4.0, but that's for the japanese release, America I'm sure has additions to it.

I just mentioned it so that the thread doesn't turn into a Homebrew-related discussion. After all, talking about Homebrew is forbidden on these forums.

yeah I said nothing about homebrew, I was just talking about a function of the wii, it appears I'm the first here to notice my wii light up blue. I figured there will be stuff on it tomorrow.
Like always, I'm sure it's nothing, and I'll probably upgrade, but there is not a lot of reason to at this point and if you are worried wait for official news tomorrow.

Talking about how to acquire homebrew is forbidden.
Whether or not it works on a system menu is allowed, again Chibo made a thread about 4.0, what it does and how to get around it, downgrade, and all that, and it's still up an unlocked.
As long as we don't discuss in depth how to get homebrew functioning on 4.1 (which we likely won't because Bannerbomb is uneffected on 4.1 NTSCJ), there shouldn't be any issues.
