Wii Remote Dash Problem

Hello and good day to you all. I seem to have a problem. If this turns out to be more widespread, then this topic should have been in Bugs, but I think it might just be me. Using the Wii Remotes seem to make the characters automatically dash when pressing left or right, and walking when I double-tap. It isn't much of a problem for me, since I use a Gamecube controller, but I only have one Gamecube Controller...anyone I play with who doesn't have their own controller must use one of my Wii Remotes. Did I install Project M incorrectly, or am I missing a file? I don't understand. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
