Wii not reading Brawl

i played brawl earlier today and it ran perfectly fine. i just tried to play and gecko said "no DVD found", then i tried to run it through the disc channel, and it gave me an error screen. wtf is up with this **** >.>

Two days ago, I had bought the Wii Lens Cleaning Kit because of the same problem; the problem having to do with Brawl itself.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl, because of having two partitions, is a dual-layered disc, which therefore gives it a higher density. If your Wii is having trouble reading Brawl, it means that the lens is contaminated and must be cleaned; a contaminated lens will have difficulty reading a disc with a higher density.

so i just have to get a lens cleaner then, and it should run alright?


im not sure though, we tried running some other game (Super Mario Sluggers) and it still didnt read

What condition are the discs in? This is another crucial factor, as a scratched disc won't easily be recognized.

Outside of suggesting going to a gaming store/section of a store and getting something to clean the lens, there's nothing I can do. Provided your hard drive isn't complete ****, your game will likely run fine after cleaning the lens.

i cleaned the lens and the game ran fine - for a while

the game runs in the disc channel, but now it wont run in Gecko. Gecko says theres no DVD

It was running in gecko yesterday, wtf >.>
