This is my first time posting on Smash Boards anyway I’ve been having this annoying problem on Smash for Wii U it mainly happens online in laggy games (80% of for glory 1v1) but occasionally it happens offline to. Ok first of all I use the Wii mote and Nunchuck and before you hate I use it cuz I don’t have the GC adaptor and don’t have the money to buy it nor can I find it at any store. This is my controller set up:
Wii mote and nunchuck:
D-pad: up, left, right: smash attack (basically a c-stick)| down: grab
A: attack| B: special | 1 and 2: taunt| Z: shield| C: jump

I’m gonna list ALL the problems I’ve been having so it might be long…
Sometimes I’ll get a pivot grab when I didn’t do the input for it other times when I try and shield grab I get jabs (down on the D pad), when recovering my character will randomly wall jump when I again didn’t do the input for a wall jump leading me to get F-smashed and die, (this mostly happens in lag but has occasionally happened in lag free games or offline) button input randomly not registering like if I’m off stage trying to recover I press up B and nothing happens and I fall and die or I relies it didn’t register so I press up B again but it’s to late and I’m to far down to grab the ledge and die [this has happened to me so many times on For Glory!!!! >
and I’ve lost a lot of games cuz of this bs!!!] (most notable the D-pad being useless cuz it doesn’t register when I press it in lagg), getting tilts when using the D-pad to F-smash, and (the worst and weirdest) getting a F-smash in the opposite direction of what I pressed. Example: pressing left on the D-pad results in a F-smash to the right and vise versa.
All of these controller problems or whatever you want to call it happen at random and at the worst of times!!! Like if I’m gonna get a kill when there at high % or when trying to recover one of the above happens resulting in my opponent getting a free punish on me or kill ,me missing a punish and the worst me losing the hole game cuz of it. These problems happen very often as of recently and don’t say it’s me cuz I know for a fact I’m doing the input correctly also it’s a brand new Wii mote and I’ve tested it on other games like brawl and this bs doesn’t happen. So does this happen to anyone else? Or does anyone know of a fix? If so let me know thanks.
