There are good games out! Red Steel, Super Paper Mario, TP, and Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2(whoo! mouthful) are just a few good ones out. I don't know what you're talking about.

Are there any online games as of now? I've kind of been out of the loop with the Wii.

Why all the Red Steel hate?

The single player had FAR LESS glitches than people say, and the graphics were actually better than most xbox games. The story lasted me a good 15 hours, and the sword fighting was actually quite responsive and fun.

The only bad thing about single player IMO was the story, and maybe the cutscenes, which were mediocre.

As for multiplayer, I will admit the graphics are pretty terrible. However, for what it is, you really don't need stunning visuals. Me and my buddies can play some multiplayer Red Steel for hours and hours without getting tired of it. It really does take a steady hand, but once you get used to it, it's really just a matter of whose quicker to fire while the reticule is on your opponents head.

The only bad things about the multiplayer were bad graphics, some minor glitches, and the lack of stages, which isn't too big of a problem, since the existing four maps are complex and intricate.

I can't wait for Red Steel 2, especially if the multiplayer goes online and the graphics get a bump up.

I'm really curious as to why people hated Red Steel.

Where that boomerang came from
The story was entirely unimpressive and I was constantly reminded that I was playing a game by the terrible execution of the control scheme. The sword fighting felt tacked on, and not at all what the hardware is capable of, and the aiming didn't have any options whatsoever to help make it feel more natural, like, say, adjusting the size of the "bounding box" (or whatever they call that). The cutscenes were laughable, the voice acting was terrible, the plot in general didn't make a whole lot of sense, even for a ****ty videogame plot, and there was no fun unlockable content. Multiplayer was the weakest point, with terrible mechanics with no variety, few maps, and such. In short: GoldenEye 64 was FAR better on every single point, save maybe the basic aiming control (barring turning and such).

Bad game.

There are a lot of good games for the Wii. Metroid Prime, SSBM, Super Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Viewtiful Joe, F-Zero GX, Soul Calibur II...
Oh, and TP.

Haha, the best part is the fact that TP Wii is a ported GC game.

Fair enough, not a lot of FPSs do have good story's though.

I was constantly reminded that I was playing a game by the terrible execution of the control scheme.
How was the control scheme bad? The only hinderance IMO would be turning speed, which is adjustable.

The sword fighting felt tacked on, and not at all what the hardware is capable of,
Tacked on? It was elaborate and responsive. I could really tell the spent time on it. I don't really know what you expected them to pull of with the Wii's hardware, besides maybe 1:1, which I thought we determined was impossible.

and the aiming didn't have any options whatsoever to help make it feel more natural, like, say, adjusting the size of the "bounding box" (or whatever they call that).
Well, you could adjust the "sensitivity" which actually just make the screen move faster when you get to the edge of the screen. That basically acheives what having a smaller bounding box would.

The cutscenes were laughable,
Agreed, but does that really alter your opinion of the game? I mean, I was in it for the gameplay, not the artwork.

the voice acting was terrible,
Uhh... I dunno what standards you have for voice acting, but most FPS's and RPGS have really ****y voice acting, and I thought Red Steel's was actually quite good. It sounded very authentic and fitting to the character. The only character that had bad voice acting was the chick you were trying to rescue.

the plot in general didn't make a whole lot of sense, even for a ****ty videogame plot,
How did it not make sense? What made it bad IMO was how predictable and easy to understand it was. What didn't make sense for you?

and there was no fun unlockable content.
Well, it was pushed for launch, they didn't have time for that stuff. You can unlock 10 or so guns at the shooting range, but I don't know what kind of unlockable content you expect from an FPS.

Multiplayer was the weakest point, with terrible mechanics with no variety, few maps, and such.
The mechanics were the same as single player, and I don't have any problems with it. You use the Wiimote to aim, B to shoot, c to jump, z to crouch, and down on the d-pad to throw a 'nade, which you can do with motion sensing or without, and you shake the nunchuck to slash. Not that terrible. The maps had a ton of variety, and you can choose your bonus when your meter fills up, there are probably around 10 guns, and the maps are large and complex.

Bad game.
I guess everyone has a different opinion, but I still don't understand how you justify calling Red Steel a disgrace to Wii, FPSs, gamers, and Ubisoft.
