Wii Freezing while Entering Custom Stages

Hello, I have just downloaded Project M recently and am having a little bit of trouble, whenever I enter Custom Stages w/ the SD card with the downloaded information, my Wii freezes, any help?

What custom stage are you talking about?

The ones that you can make in Brawl with pieces, or the ones you download off the internet from websites like Brawl Vault?
