Wii Disk Reading Error

It won't read disks. I get two clicks, and then it says there's an error. It doesn't take much time for it to figure it out. I think it's the Wii optical drive spin motor, but I don't want to buy that if it's not the problem. Is this the most likely problem, though?

Yeah if it isn't reading different games then there's an issue with the Wii. You'll need to send it in to Nintendo. I think in the US they repair it for free. How long ago did you get it?

2007 I think.

I can fix it myself if it's the optical disk motor. I know how to. I just don't want to buy it if it's not the problem.

Problem here, though, is that it takes the Wii only four or so seconds. There're to clicks, which I'm guessing is the Wiis attempt to start the motor, and then it stops. There's no spinning. I just want to know in anyone's experience if I should definitely go ahead and buy the motor.
