Hey whats up guys got a little problem and a few solutions and want to hear your thoughts.

So my wii fan doesn't work well or at all..... My wii burns out after 2-3 hours of play and it sucks. (Kind of annoying since I can't run tourneys anymore out of my wii with my sweet textures and music)

I have a few options that I am exploring. One of them is an external fan. I've looked into things like a Nyko mini attachable external fan or a wii fan dock base. What do you feel is the best quality fan to prevent wii burnouts.

Additionally, Game stop is running a promotion to trade in your wii to a black one. (You also get wii motion plus and its only 50 bucks!!) I've given this some thought. It would be easy to back up my game data and put it on a new Wii. This seemed like to be a good option but then I discovered that I may not be able to transfer my games I bought with wii points like tetris party and smash 64. I think the way it works is that there is a registration linked to your wii serial or something. It prevents you from giving free games to people basically. If there was a way around this I would also consider this option.

Hey thanks for advance on the advice. I'll probably ask for the thread to be locked in a few days once I know what to do. And If I posted this in the wrong area, feel free to move it.

I have the same problem so I just decided to place a fan behind the Wii to keep it cool. It may seem stupid at first, but trust me it works lol.

I also wouldn't suggest using any external fans you mentioned since they void your warranty and can damage your wii after a while.

That makes no sense, Why would a detachable external fan like the two I mentioned above void a warranty?
