Should I be practicing on wifi safe or full? I like online(custom servers) but the shielding and stuff is different between wifi safe and full. So what should I be practicing on if I would be going to tournaments?

Full. There is literally no point in Wifi Safe since the Wii network got taken down, so online matches are not even a thing anymore. Definitely full.

Full. It's mostly because in tournaments when striking stages your opponent has a visual aid - also, @ McSlur McSlur You're in my state.

Replays is the only reason I still have the Wi-Fi set.

It's just good to watch matches and see what you did wrong and right.

If you're playing for improvement, I'd imagine that Replays > Stage Strikes.

The visual aid is convenient and pretty, but if you need a stage striking feature for 1on1s, you could still accomplish the exact same thing by going to the random stage selection menu (or whatever it's called) and turning them off manually like in Melee stage striking. Better yet, you could just say out loud which ones you ban...

Replays are good for improvement. Things seem faster when you're playing in the moment because you're reacting to things. When you're not, it seems slower. You can consider different options you could've/should've/would've done then, whether you noticed it in the match earlier or you start noticing things you missed, and become more aware of using those actions by consciously thinking about it in play (you should always be considering your options and choices while playing, so that you can better avoid falling for tricks / making mistakes).

If watching replays sounds like a bore, then by all means, get the hackless version (has stage strikes) instead of the wifi-safe version (has replays). But if you want to improve using all the utilities you're provided, I'd suggest at least considering the wifi-safe version. Besides, replays are great for recording all of those ridiculous combos or weird happenings that never come again in Smash!! Why would you pass on that?

LIGHT PRESS AIRDODGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Light press airdodge is the devil. It makes you SD sometimes just because you happened to be squeezing your controller a little too hard.

It doesn't matter that much which set you practice on. Obviously if you're practicing on custom wifi, you want wifi set. If you need the C-stick buffer for OoS options, you want full set. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter.
