To those who already have the game, how exactly the online brawl structured? Can you play 2 people on the same wii agaisnt 2 on another? What about 3 vs 1 (not team brawl, just regular)? Can you only do 2 people on the same wii if you do team battle? Can 2 people be on the same wii and do free for all wifi? Haha sorry about all the questions but if you can answer at least one of them then that would be greatly appreciated!

With Anyone = 2 Minute Time Matches, All Items on. I'm not really sure how it's decided if it's teams or not, I think you can choose.

With Friends = Just like if your friends are over at your house. You can choose teams, item switch, whatever.

PS - I think two people can play on the same Wii judging from that one Brawl commercial a while back.

You can play 3 people on one Wii for Wi-Fi matches. Quoted from 1up.com:

Online Modes:

1: Mostly lag free. We played three matches and only one had any sort of lag at all. It felt like we were playing with people in the same room.

2: There are two modes available online -- Random Battle and Friend mode. The options and game modes vary for each of them. Friend mode has Home Run Derby (described below in its own section), Team 100 Man Brawl, and Regular Brawl. Random Battle has Regular Brawl and Team Battle only.

3: You can only edit rule sets in Friend mode, which lets you set handicaps, time limits, damage ratios, set the game as a coin battle, and more.

4: In either mode you can edit items, changing which items appear and their frequency.

5: You can play with up to three people on the same Wii online.

contrary to what someone said in this thread, item switch is available in "with anyone" and the amount of time of the match can be increased or decreased to an extent. The mode will just match you with others who share the preferences you've set. Why they couldn't add stock matches in this mode and match you with others who want to play stock, idk

why 64? thats a strange number for this kind of thing. i mean sure, it makes sense when your talking about RAM and what not...but for a friends list?
I was watching a live stream of a guy adding people to his friends list and he had something like 12/64 added.

That's not how it works. You can select items but I'm almost 100% sure you can't change the time limit in matches for with anyone. And the game doesn't match you based on preferences. Think of how many possible combinations there are for items. Some people would never get matched up.

well then they create a "best fit" scenario using statistics idk. But I know that the Wi-Fi test run video on teh dojo was a "with anyone" maych due to the lack of names above any of the players, and the time limit was 1 min
