Wierd Kirby Glitch? [False - No Glitch]

Hi all! So I was practicing with Toon Link on Kirby in a Smash stock match. Well, during the match, Kirby grabbed me, and Uthrows me, but instead of slamming me back down, we both ended up dying. Never seen this before so im not sure if its a glitch, or if its always been there but i just haven't seen it before. Clarification would be appreciated.

Toon Link's bomb exploded while you were both above the blast zone, causing it to KO you both.

Oh ok yeah i just noticed we both took 4% damage as this happened, so yeah it was the bomb throw. Thanks
