I recently switched from DSL to Hughes net. After I got all the stuff setup on my computer and wii I tryed to play a brawl match online but no go. The odd part was that I connected to the online servers but I couldnt connect with any players. I waited over an hour and nothing happened, Sonic just stood at the online practice stage lonely lol. I tried using all my games with wi-fi but none worked, accept Bomberman Blast. What would happen in that was I would find apponents then in about one second they would be gone. Help? Im really bored without CoD WaW or brawl online... I also have a linksys router if that matters.

Well it's not always as simple as plugging it in and bam it magically sends internet flying through your house...

I recently had the same problem when I got a new router... I set it up, my wii and PS3 found the signal... but it didn't work

So I toggled with some settings and found it was the DHCP server... It was turned off

Idk if your good with computers or networking but DHCP's job is to assign IP addresses to all devices on the network whether it be wireless or wired..

So while reading this I want you to do exactly as I say:
Assuming you have windows XP.... Open the start menu and click run
type cmd into the box
Press enter or click Ok... That should open the command prompt
Now in the screen type
ipconfig /all
and tell me all of the main heading things to all of the junk underneath
Then we can go from there.
