Why only 20 matches in event mode?

Err... I could've sworn I saw more than 20. In this one stream, event mode reached past even 30. (I couldn't see how many exactly, but, the person did Event 31). There's more than 20, you just have to do something to get more than that...
And, no, it was not Co-op... the person was alone.

Are you sure about that? I could have sworn I saw a video that had more than 20 event boxes.
Maybe you are thinking of Co-op events, Sakurai did say there were less of those than single player events.

Ive unlocked 28 stages in Event mode so far. And there are more according to that bonus room with thhe glass cases. Unfortunately I cant figure out how to unlock them
