Why not have all 1st gen?

So the basis of this thread is concerning the Pokemon part of the roster be all Gen 1. The roster could look like:
Pikachu
Jigglypuff
Charizard
Mewtwo
Meowth

At least that's how I see it. Or we can replace Meowth with Machop or Machoke. I've always wanted the first Fighting type to be in Smash. Discuss.

Every generation deserves some representation in Smash. There are already 5 gen 1 pokemon in Brawl, and Mewtwo is as good as confirmed. So we've got six there, how much more do you need?

I know that Gen 1 pokemon are the most iconic in the franchise, but we've had more than enough of them already.
