Why no mii fighter in online for fun?

Since Mii Fighters are technically custom characters (you have to give them badges, and usually you can give them anything as well as custom moves of your choice) they aren't allowed online unless you're playing with Friends.

If they were allowed online, even if it's just in For Fun mode only I'm sure people will take advantage of using them.

Simply regular mii fighters without badges then? Using different costumes and all in for fun would be really cool i believe.
