Why does most players prefer melee?

I mean, I don´t get it! Why would they prefer Melee to Brawl just because the first has much more advanced tatics and combos? I play Brawl, and I have to say that it is a very fun game!

I've heard many reasons. More movement options. Faster gameplay. And just being more offensive-oriented. But who cares what others think? Just play whatever you want.
