Why does Falco's Phantasm sometimes stops at the edge automatically?

My guess would be that during one of the 5-6 moving frames Falco perfetly aligns with the edge activating an edge cancel or teeter animation which cancels all forward momentum and lag. The phantasm that follows behind his real hurtbox plays out like normal as if nothing special happened.

Seems really odd on the examples where you actually fall of the stage for quite a while then warp back to the edge. Like it waits for the animation to finish before cathing up to itself for the teeter/edge cancel

Sorry about that I should have included that I was using the 20xx hack pack and the reason I warped back to the ledge was because I was using save states to go back to my previous position.

Ah okay, that's the only thing that didn't make any sense at all to me. I figured you were using 20XX so you could save your starting points exactly tot best, but I didn't figure you would cut in save states of you already being on the edge.
