Why does brawl freeze when I take more than a couple of seconds on the SSS?

I REALLY need help with this do i need a code or something? If I do need a code either leave a link to it or just tell me LOL! I use GECKO to load brawl. It can't be the disk because I tried taking out the SD card so there were no hacks and it didn't freeze. PLEASE HELP!

I think that when it freezes at specfic parts like this, it's usually your disc thats the problem. Right now I have this same problem when on the stage selection screen so I usually have to go very fast so it doesn't freeze.

What codes are you currently using? I don't know why any would cause the SSS to freeze after a couple seconds as the reason the SSS usually freezes has to do with the sc_selmap.pac. The only other reason I can think of is the one Wizzrobe mentioned.

Disable custom stages.

AGH its still freezing! I really hate to bother people but it is extremely frustrating!

You probably have the smash stack stage in. Delete the files in your st folder and it should no longer freeze.
