Why do people underestimate the Pokemon characters?

Many people don't seem to respect the Pokemon characters. Pokemon can just be as cool as the other characters!

Well that brings up another point I'm trying to make. Mewtwo is an exception - it seems like most people only think that Mewtwo is the only Pokemon worthy of Smash - as if the other Pokemon don't matter.

I'd like to hear a case of someone disrespecting the Pokemon characters. I don't see it happen much except when I do it to Lucario.

People are disrespecting Pokemon characters? This is news to me. Although I will say Mewtwo is rather overrated in my personal opinion. He's still a really cool character but I understand why he isn't in Smash 4. But yeah, I really haven't heard of anyone disrespecting the other Pokemon as pretty much every single one of them is a fan favourite. But hey, what do I know?

Well EVERYONE loves Pikachu and we'll the only Pokemon character I can see being disrespected is Lucario, and not really disrespected just kinda neglected.
