i have the wired lan adapter and my internet performance seems pretty okay in other games (not perfect but it works fine)
but when i play online against anyone on smash 4, even people who live close, there is noticeable input lag that makes the game almost unplayable. everyone else online seems to play just fine too. i dont get it...what is going on?

how do i fix this???

sorry for the double post but is there really no way to solve this? i dont have a lot of friends to play smash with in person and this is borderline unplayable

Have you tried port forwarding your WII U or putting it to dmz mode in your routers settings? Also 5mbs upload isnt that good tbh so that could very well be the source of your problems. Also i do get super laggy matches sometimes as well even though i use a wired adapter and i have 100/100 connection. Maybe youre just getting really unlucky with your opponents?

Well now im a bit confused... for me all of that lag went away when i put my WII U to dmz... Hmm... DId you save the router config and then reset it so it took effect? TBH id like to try playing you online to see how bad the delay really is. I can play people even from murica (even though im european) with no lag thanks to my 100/100 internet. If youre interested add Seitengrate (my nintendo network ID). We can rule out the possibility of horrible connection with other people this way. Cause im still suspecting that upload speed of yours is the bottleneck :p
