Why did Gamecube fail so bad?

I mean, the hardware, games, and marketing were pretty good.
What led it to its downfall?

The hardware was too weak and there were no games. Hope that answers your question.

Also, the Gamecube didn't fail badly. It sold over 21 million units. That's pretty impressive, and only a few million less than the Xbox.

I thought the number was closer to 11 million. In a sense, it did fail due to marketing and lack of third party support. Nintendo can make the best games ever, but if they don't have a wide variety of games, you won't attract the masses.

Unfortunately, this belongs in the Light House.
