Granted he has a really cool design, plus he has Majora's Mask. But he literally has no attacks. The one time he tries to physically harm Link is when he brings the moon down and that's it (unless you count the back-hand he gives to Tael). What did everyone expect from him? I can't seem to understand it.

The same could have been said about Captain Falcon before Smash 64.

Nintendo found a way.

Mostly popularity IMO. And the hope for a Majora's Mask remake.

Quick note, there is a character discussion of which this should go...

Same for captain falcon. This belongs in character discussions, and in there is a thread for skull kid support.

Remember though that F-Zero and F-Zero X were huge in the 1990's and 1 was a launch title for the SNES so it made sense at that time to add in such a popular character. Skull Kid is an antagonist in a single game of one of the worst-selling Zelda's ever.

Positive he's referring to how they developed a moveset for Falcon, not why he was included in the game.

Because they liked him and Majora's Mask.

I never wanted Skull Kid myself, but I do hope for a Majora's Mask 3DS remake.

That all aside, there is already Skull Kid thread as well as a thread regarding disconfirmed characters.

It's the only Zelda title I've played through and have any emotional attachment to. I wasn't expecting a playable appearance at all. The AT is sufficient imo, I'm jacked to see his attack. It would be cool if ATs had two or three different attack options
