Who's going to experiment with controllers?

I love my GC controller, but using it constantly might get a bit boring. Even in Brawl and P:M, I shook it up a bit by using the Wii Zapper sometimes (with awful results :p)

Who here's going to try to shake their play style up a notch at times? I know I'll definitely be using the N64 controller (via Raphnet Adapter) a lot personally, and who knows, maybe I'll even give the clunky-as-heck Gamepad an occasional try. If all else fails, I'm still pretty comfortable with the original Classic Controller.

No Items, Fox Only, Final Destination...

...and Wii Vitality Sensor + Balance Board :troll:

No, but seriously...I'm feeling pretty comfortable with the Classic Controller Pro, although I'll probably give the Gamepad some time to get used to it, since I've found that you CAN play technically-precise games with it, like COD: Black Ops II and Wonderful 101.

When I thought I was going to have to divorce from my GC controller, I had options open - Wii U Pro Controller, Gamepad..but now, that I found out that she (GC controller) wants to work things out, I'm more than likely going to be spending time rekindling the fire in our marriage.

At home in the beginning phases I'll probably mess around on the Gamepad and see how that goes. But it's basically guaranteed that I'll be sticking to the GC controller, for tournaments and such.

I'll probably stick with the wii-chuck. I like the whole "never have to move your hands" deal it has going.

I'll be trying out the Pro Controller and Gamecube controller (I bought the official Smash edition so I plan on using that in the long run). I've been using the Wii-Chuck since I first got Brawl and can't wait to swap to something a little more comfortable. :p

I want to use the Pro controller, as I think it could ultimately be better than the Gamecube controller if people actually gave it a legitimate shot; having proper shoulder buttons instead of the ****ty shoulder buttons the Gamecube controller has is a huge boon. Unfortunately, it seems like Nintendo isn't going to give us a wired version, meaning I'll probably have to stick to the Gamecube controller.

I have given it a shot. And you know what else I have? Really, really big hands. :p

So yeah, Nintendo's more unorthodox controllers are much more viable for me personally than their more sterile ones. Though I do agree that the pro series of controllers would be a pretty good choice for just about everyone else.

(I dream of winning a tourney with my N64 controller.)

I'm using an N64 and PS2 controller thanks to controller converters/adaptors. I might experiment with the classic pro. I'll have to switch the A, B, X, Y button layout though. If the gamepad works, I'll try it out as well.

I also have a MadCatz steering wheel that works on N64 and PS1. It is clunky and near impossible to use in racing games, let alone fighters. But I jokingly use it in every installation of Smash when I want to show off to my friends. So yeah, I'm going to even play with that, too, every so often.

So in total, assuming all Brawl controls are usable, I'm using over 7 controller styles from 4 different console generations. That's very fitting, for a game like Smash, haha.

I'm thinking about switching from the Classic Controller to the Gamecube Controller, but we'll see once the game comes out. It'd require for me to invest in a new one too since my current ones suck.

I don't see the point for me when the GC controller is the only thing that's going to be used at tournaments.

I think I am going to be moving to the pro control. I'm not a fan of the analog triggers on the Gamecube controller. I will miss the GC, we had some good time, but its time for me to move on (to something a little less springy).

I dare somebody to use this.

In all seriousness though, I used the wiimote + nunchuk for Brawl, but I've recently tried going back to the gamecube controller and have found the additional buttons very helpful. I'm also liking the design of the fight pad (both in terms of button placement and aesthetics), since having a Z button on the left for jumping makes it feel even more like the wiichuk. I'll probably experiment with all three and decide from there.

They have to actually dance though :)

Truthfully, my only complaint about the nunchuk is that I have long fingers, which makes it really hard to hit the c button (Yay! hand-cramps! ). When I play with it, I have to jump using 'up', making up-tilts infuriating at times XD.

Unfortunately the GC will be the best option if you want to attend any kind of event. Since its more likely that is the control option they will have. Though Im sure the people that played with Wiimote or Wiimote+nunchuck in Brawl times will stick to that option in SSB4 and ignore the GC adapter.

Of course I will be using my Gamecube Controller, but I will also be using the Wii U Pro Controller.

I will give feed back once I try both on SSB4 for the Wii U if you guys are interested.

Pro Controllers will probably be usable at tournaments since they plug directly in. I may try Pro controller, but I've been loving my GameCube controller since I found out that I could use it for Smash 4.

I'm likely going to use the Wii U pro controller, but I'll give the standard gamepad a try too.

I'm willing to experiment, but I'll likely just use the GCN, if only so that I'm using the same controller for both Smash 4 and PM.
