Hitbox.tv is becoming more and more popular with good reason. For those of you who don't know, it's a live streaming platform like Twitch except it has less delay (2-5 seconds as compared to 10-15 seconds with Twitch) and a few goodies like polls and stuff to bring more viewer interaction.

Does anyone use it themselves? I think there should be hitbox.tv integration with Smashboards like there is with twitch.

I use it when Twitch is down, so almost never. It is a good site though, but as it grows it will run into the same issues that Twitch did at that level. It's always good to have another streaming site, but it has nothing on Twitch.

That may be true, but who knows.. If I recall correctly (and this may be BS), Twitch uses a 10 year old platform that justin.tv used that they can't just switch out while hitbox has better software/etc. I think the only thing that makes Twitch better is that it has more users.

When they first launched, yes, it was a transfer from Justin.tv. It has since been upgraded. There was a very minimal delay at first that has increased over the years. They have reduced the delay recently though.
