Ive been playing this game for 8 years, about a year and a half competetively and I still cant find a main.
Ive went through bouts of every single character on the selection screen and no mater what I always wanna play someone else, Id be fine with but I really trully enjoy the concept of playing one character, so to help me out fellow melee players, give me some suggestions:

I wanna play a character I can do stylish things with, but also has solid fundamental options
I want a character that I can decide to play very fast but can also decide to slow it waaaay down and play snails place
I want a character that feels like a blank canvas, that I can put my heart into and do creative things with (that will work as long as I am good enough)
Has a good (possibly underutilized) ground game
Has shield pressure capabilities (also if anyone who suggests a character happens to have frame advantage on moves, lemme know that!)
Thats about it right now. Ill edit it if I think of more, thanks!

I would state how comfortable I am with a certain character.
I am comfortable playing every single character aside from the double jump cancel guys (i can play them but im not good at DJC)
Also even if I wasnt I would feel fine learning a brand new character, but just for reference my most comfortable characters have always been Fox, Falco, Falcon, Puff, Doc, G&W, and Kirby

I would say Falco if you're comfortable with him already since he has a lot of the things you mentioned, stylish, creative combos, etc, and you wouldn't really have to worry about any matchups with him.
If you would like to learn a brand new character Sheik would be a good choice since she also has a lot of things you said you want in a character.

Falco is a good option. He's quick to get used to, but challenging to master. Captain Falcon has a lot of different play options and is stylish as hell, but you can't really play at a snail's pace with him. Plus it seems you're already comfortable with those two. Fox has some tricky tech so I'd avoid him if you're not big on that kind of play. I'd say Falco, Fox, Marth, or maybe even Doc. I'm a Doc main and I really enjoy his play style.

I completely agree with Airfair on this one. Marth is a fair-ly easy character to pick up and learn, and still learn. He amazing movement options with a long wavedash and amazing dash dance and awesome punish game and edge guard game.

Falco is another one because with how advanced he is in tech you can do a LOT with him.
