Who Should And Shouldn't Be Secret

I'll admit, I searched, but not very hard.

This is a topic about your OPINIONS on who you think should be obtained by special methods, or who should be a given.

What I honestly think is, Ike, Pokemon Trainer and Diddy feel like really special characters. I'm incredibly surprised they are not secret, and I really think they should have been secret. With characters like these, the secret characters better be really interesting and unexpected.

Also, I feel like Luigi and Jigglypuff should be bumped down to starter status. I just don't think they have the potential to have to be unlocked.

I don't know what it is, but certain characters feel like they're 'special' enough to have to be unlocked, and some feel like they aren't. It doesn't mean I don't like them, Luigi is a great, great character as well as the others. But theres a certain spark to certain characters that kinda says they shouldn't be a given.

Anyway, your opinions on who should be unlockable and pre-given?

Diddy looks like more of a starter than Zelda in Melee did IMO.

Anyways, I think Luigi shouldn't be an unlockable. He's too famous for it nowadays.

Ganon should be a starter but if he isnt, then dont make it so easy to unlock him.

i'm amazed Diddy is a starter cause usually in the Mario Spinoffs you have to unlock Diddy.

I think most newcomers(not the ones we know) and some melee veterans(guys like Marth, Falco, Gannondorf,) will basically be unlockable.

Jiggs and Luigi will hopefully still be unlockable if they come back. They're the classics.

I feel like i want villains to be unlockable...don't really know why.
i.e: The Black Knight, Ganondorf, Ridley, Wolf, Dark Samus.

And Third Parties, too.

I think Diddy and PT should be starters, but Ganon should be unlockable. 3rd parties should be unlockable too.

Sakurai should simply released all the starting characters before the Third of December, then release unlockables and the method to unlock them twice a week thereafter until all are complete, except maybe some super-secret character that everyone's already figured out and posted on SWF... Like Sonic.

Luigi should be starting, but...I doubt it.
Ganondorf is obviously unlockable.
King Dedede, Ridley, 2nd FE character, Any further Star Fox characters, all other retros.
