People play in Rochester...I think that's your best bet.

I am like 4 hours away in Oneonta...I have the same problem finding people to play...though Kip and N64 are decently close.

use the regional forums to find people in your area. And you probably want to at least attend a tournament or two and get in touch with people there before you start organizing one yourself.
