Smash 3DS Who knows a lot about 3DS (and system transfers)?

So I have a bit of a kerfuffle that Internet searching has not done me the best job figuring out a solution to.

I will obviously be buying the New 3DS when it releases (c-stick whaaaaat). Currently I have a 3DS LL (XL for non-JP users), and it is modded for streaming.

So this is where it's complicated and I'm confused and a bit irritated with the release of this new 3DS. I will need to do a system transfer, won't I?

1. I know you can't share accounts or save data across multiple systems. I need to pick one of the two to harbor my NID and save data/downloads associated with that NID.

2. Streaming mod is attached on a per unit basis, if I want to stream playing on the new 3DS, I would need to pay for another modding and I'm unsure how long it will be until new 3DS modding debuts given the difference in the schematics and components.

I have a mint physical copy of Smash 3DS, though all of my gameplay so far has gone in to the downloaded version on my current JP 3DS.

I think at this point you may have surmised the issues that are bugging me at the moment. Should I switch to playing the physical copy now so I can swap 3DS's easier? Should I swap the download and save data to the new 3DS and then use the physical copy on the stream 3DS?

It would seem that until a New 3DS capture kit releases I have to deal with these kinds of decisions. Any advice?

If I were in that situation, I think I'd do the transfer for my own personal use, and swap to the hard copy for streaming purposes. Then again, if you plan to stream things besides Smash that you currently have downloaded, you may want to do the exact opposite.

3DS-wise I don't plan to stream anything else aside from Smash, it's really the only reason I own a 3DS. Does that change your advice?

The New 3DS should fix any HW problems that will limit Smash 3DS on regular 3DS systems so go for it.

With that, I would say transfer to the New, and use the hard copy on the stream-modded on for streaming. Unless the N3DS very quickly gets a modding option that you choose to take, in which case you might want to use that for the improved specs.

Well until a New 3DS Capture Card is released just keep everything on your current 3DS LL and play the Retail Copy on your New 3DS. Then transfer everything over once you get the capture card installed in the New 3DS.
