i checked out ur fav vid(the 1 with the drillshine on nova). Were u da fox cause if u were how did u get so used to perfect wavedashing. I can do waveshine but mine aren't done with perfect wavedashes, which kinda sucks cause i'm always playing against marth who is light weight. Oh yeah, and lol to whoever was whistling during da match, that was freakin' halarious!

with marth just try to dashdance and play a couple mindgames and stay away from his sword until you see an opening to grab or drillshine or something. grab > uthrow > uair is awesome against marth. i like to just run away with rshl and be as annoying as possible when playing a marth.
and as for the fox falco thing i pick fox for everyone except fox and falco. against fox i pick falco and against falco i pick ganondorf.....my friends renamed my ganondorf the falco eater because for some crazy reason its vicious against falco's.

I do the dashdance but playing mind games like that on the marth i face all the time(edgeswipe21's marth) just results in me getting striked from the tip of marth's sword, how do i follow up from a dashdance if i can't find an opening. I also need help performing a perfect wavedash. i know how to waveshine but i can't on marth unless i perfect wavedash!

drilshine > upthrow > up air..... wash. rinse. repeat vs marth
also, the fact that fox can end the match at anytime and percent (AKA shine) makes him better than falco. also foxes have better recovery

:embarrassSo i've gottten a lot of help like drillshining>upthrow>upaerial. but i still can't pull off waveshines on a marth. I am getting super close but still come up a little short after a wavedash! aw well, i guess my skill combined with the tips i am given shoul be enough. if anyone has time, check out my noob vids on youtube so u can get a clear shot on what i need help in. they r called marth(me) vs ark(fox) . where i play as ark fox. there r two of them right now, and trust me, after those two fights i have been practicin all da way ntill 3 or 4 in the morning getting better. i am not the same as i was on the first 2 vids at all. i have completely changed my approch with fox. so the next vid will not be an utter disappointment as the first two were.

As far as I know you can't really continually waveshine Marth. You can only waveshine to dash jc grab or aerial but you can't reach him with another shine before he does something. You can infinite drillshine him if he doesn't DI away from the shine and drill though.

You don't need to do perfect wavedashes to waveshine falcon just be sure to walk a little (hold the control stick in a direction for a brief period and waveshine again) more before the stun effect of the shine ends on falcon so you can waveshine him continuosly without too much problem by this way you can even waveshine sheik, just walk a little right after your waveshine and repeat but keep in mind that the time you'll have to walk and shine her again will depend on your waveshining speed.
Apart from that and to tell you the truth I rarely do perfect wavedashes... Uh and marth can be comboed pretty well with fox, the nair to shine combo ***** him and drillshine>wavedash> run>jc grab(or dash grab)>up throw>uair OWNS HIM so... laser spam, those combos and smart playing should beat marth. You can check out my videos vs. D ick's Marth to give you some ideas (but ignore my little and stupid mistakes...)

when your playing mindgames and he doesnt open up and hes alittle too close for comfort or your on the edge of the stage jump over him and run away with reverse double lasers until you see an opening. watch lunin vs a marth he plays really well against marths. and remember that you have more space than you think dont let his mindgames pressure you because once you start feeling the pressure and lose your concentration then you lose the match. just relax and think about what your opponent will do next while trying your best not to be tricked by mindgames (easier said than done just practice)

i can almost garentee, that u'd get differant respones if you posted in the falco section
but i would say that you have to make ur own opinions about how to counterpick
generally how i go, is that i stay falco, until i hit an abstract character, such as luigi or jpuff or IC's etc. then i'll switch to fox
cause i hate getting gimp'd causa falco's **** recovery

i agree that this would obviously happen. personally i like fox better though because of his speed and his shine mostly

I also agree with this, i just posted this under fox's section cause fox is my main, and i could try and enhance him. falco is like my second so if anyone says they prefer falco, i could practice extra to get better with him, soo yeah...
