Ugh, I got so used to the demo controls that now I can't shake them. I'm blocking when I'm supposed to be grabbing and all sorts of shenanigans. Is anyone else experiencing this?

This was my fear, and it happened. I can't even be bothered to change them because I feel like it'd set me back the 2 weeks it took me to get used to the controls via the demo.

After seeing how you can't change the buttons' functions, only just swap their places, I had to just go back on same controls. Only turned off Tap-Jump which proved really helpful as of late.

I did. When I changed the controls back, it felt so weird. ^^ That said, I am already used to my favorite control scheme again.

I've always shielded with R anyhow on the GCC, so no difference there. Getting used to L being Grab took no time at all. I practiced pretty heavily with the Classic Control before Smash 4 release so I was quite familiar with the ABXY format as well.

Personally I can't wait for the new 3DS...dem juicy double shoulders. Oh, I guess the c-stick is nice too.

I did. I only turned off tap jump which is something I'll never get used too.

Personally, the announcement of that system cost Nintendo a 3DS XL sale this holiday season but it gained them a New 3DS XL sale when it's released in the US.

Got used to the controls within an hour. The only change I would do, is turn off tap jump.

I didn't, I was so bad at the demo it almost discouraged me to the point of not getting it for the 3ds. I decided against it at 7am today and I'm already 10x better than I was at the demo and used to having tap jump off.

Yeah I'm pretty used to the demo controls now, and like most of you said, I'll be getting rid of the tap up jump.

I like the controls, except for Tap Jump. What's wrong with them?

I got used to the demo controls. Now I have to relearn who to play with tap jump off.

I got used to the demo controls straight away and I never found any need to change them (aside from turning off tap-jump). So I'm actually quite happy that I did haha

I switched the shoulder buttons after 20 hours of playing the demo and it ruined me. I was getting beat by lvl 6 CPUs... I've since switched them back so R is shield and L is grab and it feels just fine. My only changes have been to turn off tap jump and move the special attack to Y. Y = Special, X = Jump, A = Attack. My thumbs naturally sit on the top half of the ABXY buttons so it's a good fit for me.
