Who do you think are the most effective "scrub killers" in PM?

/topic. Characters that may not be the best overall but cut through people at low levels.

I'd put Link and maybe Zelda high in that category.

Bowser can definitely confuse new people with all his Armored attacks. I feel Mewtwo causes trouble too due to being able to attack within 3 frames of teleporting combined with DAT TAIL.

Teleporting around triangle platform stages against newbies is hilarious. "How the ever loving **** am I supposed to hit this guy? He's invisible half the time!"

Link, Zelda, Bowser, Sheik, Ivysaur, Mario, Ness all come to mind. Although, are we talking about scrub v scrub or good v scrub? I doubt a scrub would properly utilize Bowser's armor for instance.

Ganon: An excellent character for BRUTALLY punishing bad rolls / too many rolls which lower level characters tend to do a lot
DDD: Abuse grab range throw off stage gimp with F-Air Rinse and repeat
Ness: PK-Fire no smash DI literally no problems
Link: Range can be easily abused on top of the fact that his moves can hit very hard a lot of lower level players don't know how to handle
Ike: With a disjointed weapon that can easily kill at low percents if you have good timing most players leave yelling OP at lower levels
Bowser: It's easy just to toss out his large hitboxes for early percent kills aganist players with bad timing

I love using Diddy and DK when I'm playing my friends who aren't too great at PM. You can force them to the edge and dunk them really easily.

It's also a nice way of hedging my bets, cause DK and Diddy are my best characters so if it turns out that these people are actually insanely good, I'll at least put up a fight. : P

Falcon has gotten me a lot of four stocks in pools. When people are relatively new to the competitive side of the game, they're not used to people moving quickly around the stage. With Falcon, it's that times a thousand and his sheer speed can make it seem hopeless for the new player

Falco. Spamming lasers and then Phantasm'ing at the first sign of danger is the easiest thing ever.

I remember I was playing this dude in wifi and I was wrecking him as Mewtwo. Then I decided to go Mario just to see how Id do. 3-4stocked from that point on. CC dsmash, Fire Ball camping, and abusing nair's priority WRECKS noob PM players. Too much cheese.

Ness, Mewtwo, Bowser, Falco, Mario, Ganon, and Zelda.

They all have something ridiculous. However Ganon and Zelda can actually be punished if the newbie finally catches on to some of the basic tactics. But the newbie wouldn't really win...

Best scrub killer is the funnest/easiest character to dominate matches IMO which is MU dependent.

For :fox::falco::wolf: I would go :olimar:, once they're offstage you have free edgeguards.

For general fast fallers like :falcon::diddy::metaknight::roypm::lucas: I go :gw: because D-tilt is a free way in and if he lands a grab up-throw juggles all day to death.

For :kirby2::jigglypuff::samus2::zelda::warioc::luigi2::ness2::mewtwopm::marth::lucario::pit::peach::mario2::ivysaur::ike: I would go :zerosuitsamus: (They're never save above her!) and pillar combo, grab/laser tech chase all day (laser is basically a free way in against scrubbs), and get free edgeguards against non-puffball floatie/semi-floatie by just D-smashing at the ledge.

For big characters :bowser2::dk2::dedede::charizard: I also play :zerosuitsamus: for the exact same strategies as floaties with a different reason that laser ALWAYS hits and it's just so deliciously easy to grab them, also scrubs don't SDI out of up-smash.

For :ganondorf:scrubs I go :ganondorf:, duh, also everyone not covered is :ganondorf:food as well.

EDIT:
The mod itself.
Dude, that's the truth, if you just hop around a bunch offstage they'll just die.

all casuals i play seem to hate my fox because they usually end up in a 0-death combo or shine gimp. I've also heard from people he is "too fast and overpowered" lol.

I was hoping you were gonna live up to your name and say some stupid, like jiggs. I wanted you be that one guy.

I like Falcon for stomp stomp stomp knee

Few other characters have such simple 0-death combos on people with predictable techrolls.

Probably Ivysaur or Ness. If you don't know how to deal with their projectiles you just get grabbed all day.

Marth lel. F-throw => Down tilt OP if they don't know what UpBs are, Attempt Spike if they don't know how to intercept/airdodge back on/sweetspot, and just bait them into the edge by standing near it, I know they'll come to you.

In all seriousness, Ike is quite stompish for me, People cant seem to catch on Quickdraw jump N/F/B airs and Quickdraw JC Upsmash. If you really want to play with their minds, Quickdrawing past them, jumping, and quickdrawing back can be funny to confuse them.

Also against most scrubs, quickdraw => jump downair offstage or simply shorthop Downair offstage works everytime against them (Scrubs generally prefer not risking to use UpBs but use double jump to get on stage because they don't feel secure enough that their UpB works or don't feel secure enough to use a quick aerial, DJ and upB).

MUs don't matter if you're going against someone you describe as a "scrub". If that's the case there's a high chance you would know how to deal with literally any matchup they could present you with anyway.

Good point, I guess if it's just my default character to use in a match against a non-threatening player I would go with G&W, I can just get them offstage and deepchute the crap out of them. Works pretty well for every character.
