Which ROB is it?

There are two R.O.B.s, the NES R.O.B. and the Star Fox R.O.B.. ShadowXOR I believe said it was the NES R.O.B., but someone on GameFAQs who seems credible says otherwise. On the night of January 19th, GoateBoate on GameFAQs said the following:

I will admit. I have no credibility whatsover on my own part because I will not reveal my source. However, I will tell you what I know to be correct. The "rows" indicate each row in the character select screen. The characters go from left to right on each row.

That is the leaked roster, and he posted it a day before it was leaked. So, my question is, which R.O.B. is it?

Don't believe any rosters. And the ROB in the video is NES ROB, the two ROBs look different.

that hasn't been confirmed, all we've been told is that it's ROB. Frankly I'd rather it was the NES accessory, but I saw this post on GameFaqs yesterday. I asked Mark and Reno about it earlier today but they didn't respond

Is it possible the NES ROB would have a star fox logo for some reason? Was he in the new SF games at all, or is he realted to ROB64 some how? I haven't touched StarFox since 64...

Also, this guy could have been bluffing, he may have just copied the ChronoBound roster. We'll find out when we see the final roster order

But if that's how the rows are they're mostly fine and partially messed up. Lucario and Jigglypuff aren't next to PT and Pikachu for one. And Bowser isn't next to the Mario characters.

I mean, why would they have SD ROB over Krystal (who is said to not be in brawl as apc by this other leakers)? Plus, NES ROB is much more of a WTF character than the SF one who is more like. . . IDK, adding a goddess from LoZ.

And in other news... this roster sucks. No Issac dissapoints me greatly. No more third parties is a shame... and no Krystal and no Ridley is just baffling.

That's the idea, yeah. Who knows if it's reliable or not. I do think it would be extremely bizarre if R.O.B. was both a generic SSE enemy and a playable character. Maybe they made up a transformers-style form for him or something...

But as far as I know, ROB 64 isn't even based on R.O.B., which was called "Famicom Robot" in Japan(as opposed to ROB 64 in Star Fox). I think it was just a coincidence based on the use of the same generic robot name.

In the SSE video, they show two ROBs carrying a bomb, which leads me to think that he won't be playable. There would only be one if that was the case.

Actually NES ROB was the boss in the Star Fox mini game in Wario Ware Smooth Moves.
