Well, I'm seeing a lot of clone hate going around here, but what is it you hate so much? TBH I would prefer new sets too, but what is it most of you find so irritating? The main two ideas of mine are:
1) Same effects (E.g. Jigg's/Yoshi's Rollout)
That's a bad example, but you catch my drift. When two character's moves LOOK different, but essentially have exactly the same outcome. Another possible example is Ganon/CF's FS. Maybe.
2) Same appearance (Zelda/Shiek's FS, Fox/Falco's FS)
Even though two attacks look the same, they have different effects? Another example is the Starfox' team blasters. There isn't really much you can do with them.
IMO It's worse when they look the same, I mean, it sucks if about seven attacks used by different characters do the same thing (Looking at YOU, Fludd/Squirtle), but at least is means that there is a chance a favourite move on one charatcer could be on another, but with a prettier/more suitable animation. I prefer Sonic/Pika's basically the same FS's over Zelda/Shiek's different but look the same ones. Again, Zelda is a bad example, but I can't be bothered to think of anything better.
